Copyright | Much of the material in the archive remains in copyright. Copyright of the majority of David Campton's own papers is held by David Campton's estate. However, Copyright of the residual material, such as letters written to him and works by other authors, remains with individual authors. Photocopies of material can be supplied for private research purposes only. However, it is the responsibility of users to obtain the copyright holder's permission for reproduction of copyright material for purposes other than research or private study. A copy of such written approval from the copyright holder must be received by the Librarian before reproductions can be made. It is also the researcher's responsibility to obtain the relevant copyright holder's permission to publish or cite papers from the archive. A copy of such written approval from the copyright holder must be received by the Librarian prior to publication. The Library will not be responsible for any failure on the part of authors and publishers to seek such permission to publish. Readers are required to sign a form accepting these conditions.
3.4 Requests for photocopies, photographs, microforms or digital copies of items from the papers to be made for purposes of private study, such extracts notot exceed the limits permitted by any Copyright Acts currently in force, will be processed by the library without reference to the copyright holder. Photocopies and . or photographs shall be permitted only where such permission will not conflict with the standards outlined in 5.1 (storage and handling) and 5.2 (consultation) below.
3.5 Requests for permission to publish or cite extracts from the papers in which the copyright is held by David Campton, not exceeding 250 words or constituting a whole document will be dealt with by the Library without reference to David Campton and without payment of any copyright fee. All such permissions to publish shall stipulate the inclusion of an acknowledgement of the permission both of David Campton and of the University as owners of the papers.
3.6 Requests for permission to publish or cite extracts from the papers in which the copyright is not held by David Campton, not exceeding 250 words or constituting a whole document will be dealt with by the Library referring the requester to the copyright holder for approval, a copy of such written approval to be supplied to the librarian in all cases. All such permissions to publish shall stipulate the inclusion of an acknowledgement of the permission both of David Campton and of the University as owners of the papers.
3.7 Requests for permission to publish complete documents or extracts exceeding 250 words shal in all cases be dealt with by the Library referring the requester to the copyright holder for approval, a copy of such written approval to be supplied to the Librarian in all cases. All such permissions to publish shall stipulate the inclusion of an acknowledgement of thepermission of both the copyright holder and of the University as owner of the papers.
