1 - “Extension Course USA”: notes and lectures on US regions, the Corn Belt, Religion, the "Negro Problem"*, Labour and Trades Unions, TV A, Crime, Internal Policies, Foreign Policy, the Presidency, the American political System, Democracy in GB and the USA. Also includes a MS essay on Soil Erosion by Dora E.E. Power, some printed pamphlets and maps, and syllabus and book-list for Twelve University Sessional Lectures by Tibble on "Modern America" at Budleigh Salterton 26 Sept 1944. *This is a term from the 1930s-40s and now (2020) not appropriate. It might refer to a book of the same name: "'The Negro Problem' is a collection of seven essays by prominent Black American writers, such as W. E. B. Du Bois and Paul Laurence Dunbar, edited by Booker T. Washington, and published in 1903. It covers law, education, disenfranchisement, and Black Americans' place in American society" [from Wikipedia] or more generally the position of Black Americans in 1930s/40s America.
