DescriptionBenjamin Burrows (1891-1966) was first appointed as a Lecturer in Music at University College, Leicester in 1924. His sister, Grace Burrows, was also appointed as a Music lecturer at the same time. He continued to teach at Leicester until the Second World War.
The collection includes songs and violin, piano, organ, chamber, orchestral and choral music. Much of the printed music was published by the Bodnant Press which was based at 2, University Road, Leicester. Also includes programmes for song and organ recitals by Burrows in Leicester in 1928, and some biographical and critical articles on him.
