Welcome to the University of Leicester’s Archives Catalogue.

University Archives and Special Collections

Archives and Special Collections have reopened following the relaxing of some Covid-19 restrictions. We are working through a backlog of enquiries and research appointments, so please bear with us if we take longer than usual to respond to you. For the most up-to-date information on how the pandemic is affecting services at the University of Leicester, please see Life at Leicester 2021

The Catalogue contains collection and item level descriptions relating to our archival holdings. For information on our rare book and other collections, please visit our Special Collections homepage

Not all of our archive catalogue records are included in the Archives Catalogue and not all of our collections have been catalogued. We will be adding new catalogue records so please check regularly for updates. Please visit About the Catalogue for more information on content.

Archives can be consulted by appointment in the Special Collections reading room, located in the basement of the David Wilson Library. Please note that retrieval times vary as some records are held off site.

Please email specialcollections@le.ac.uk for further information.
